Dhadak 2 starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi was hailed by the masses for its powerful storyline. However, the film isn’t performing quite well at the box office. Here’s the BO report.
Dhadak 2 starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi released on August 1. The movie directed by Shazia Iqbaland produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is a romantic drama with a strong message to share. As the film released, it received positive reviews from critics, as well as, the audience. Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s movie was loved by all for the message around caste discrimination. Their performances received a thumbs up too. However, the positive reviews haven’t done much to boast the TRP numbers of Dhadak 2. The film took a slow start at the box office and failed to pick up on second day.

As per a Sacnilk.com report, Dhadak 2 made around Rs 3.75 crore on its second day, i.e., first Saturday. These are early estimates and actual numbers are yet to come in. However, the numbers don’t seem to be much different from its first day collection. Reportedly, on day 1, Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s film made around Rs 3.5 crore at the box office. Now, the total collection of the film stands at Rs 7.25 crore. Given the pace, the film may be able to cross the mark of Rs 10 crore on its opening weekend, however, it is much behind some of the recently released films. Definitely, Dhadak 2 is no Saiyaara. It has to be noted that Dhadak 2 has released in limited theatres.

Meanwhile, Saiyaara starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda performed well on third Saturday despite competition from Dhadak 2 and other films. As per the reports, the movie helmed by Mohit Suri made around Rs 6.35 crore at the box office on its day 16, i.e., third Saturday. Saiyaara’s box office numbers slid into single digits only from the third week. The film had taken a glorious start at the box office with its first day business being Rs 21.5 crore. The total collection of the movie now stands at Rs 291.35 crore. The film will go past the mark of Rs 300 crore becoming one of the highest grossing movies of the year 2-25 so far. Currently, Chaava is the highest-grossing movie and Saiyaara is second on the list.
