Ashwin Kumar’s directed animation thriller has been released on July 25, 2025, in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. Mahavatar Narsimha has been winning hearts in theatres worldwide. Amidst this, rumours of its OTT release have also been viral on social media, confusing viewers. However, the makers of Mahavatar Narsimha have denied any claims or reports about an OTT release. In an official statement, the makers asked viewers to stay away from any rumours and believe the information only from the official site.
Mahavatar Narsimha not to release on OTT for now
Addressing the rumours, a post was shared on Instagram by the film’s official handle which read, “Stay away from rumours…We’ve been receiving a lot of buzz about Mahavatar Narsimha-coming to OTT soon, but let us clarify: For now, our film is ONLY available in theatres across the whole wide world. We have not finalised any OTT platforms yet. Please believe only authentic updates shared from our official handles. Your trust keeps the Sanatani roar alive!” Further in the caption, the team revealed that they are grateful for the excitement around the animated film and the OTT buzz, but for now, Mahavatar Narsimha is playing only in theatres, and no OTT deal has been finalized yet. Adding on, the team urged viewers to trust only official sites, “Please trust only the updates shared from our official handles. Your trust fuels the Sanatani roar!”

Later, Narsimha, the avatar of Vishnu, defeats Hirnyakashyap. The film has collected a whopping Rs 91.25 crore within 10 days of release.
