Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) is one of the most iconic quiz shows that has completed 16 successful seasons. The makers are all set to launch the 17th season of KBC and fans are quite excited for the same. The new season brings with it a powerful campaign, “Jahan Akal Hai Wahaan Akad Hai”, which celebrates intelligence and self-pride. The tagline has been well connected with the viewers, and the video features Amitabh Bachchan.

The promos of KBC 17 are making waves on social media. Kaun Banega Crorepati season 17 will begin airing from August 11, 2025 and will broadcast Monday to Friday at 9 PM on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV. Well, Kaun Banega Crorepati is based on the global format ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ The first season was aired in India in 2000, and since then it has become one of the most loved quiz shows in the country. Amitabh Bachchan has hosted the show for 15 out of 16 seasons and has become the face of the quiz show.
Amitabh Bachchan took to his X handle to share the first update ahead of the start of the show. He tweeted in Hindi, “T 5463 – पहुँच गये काम पे ; नया दिन, नया अवसर, नयी चुनौतियाँ प्रणाम (folding hands emoticon).” He further wrote, “Reached at work. New day, new opportunity, new challenges. Greetings.”

He even shared a note which read, “And the prep begins the beguine… to be back to the people…to be with them in their desires to improve life and livings… the opportunity that changes lives… in an hour… my love and regard.” Fans flooded the comments section and revealed they cannot wait for the show to start.
On the work front, Bachchan was last seen in Rajinikanth’s film Vettaiyan. The movie also starred Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and Ritika Singh in main roles. The film hit theatres in October last year. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen next in Ribhu Dasgupta’s Section 84 alongside Diana Penty and Nimrat Kaur.
