Smriti Irani is back as Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. We have our favourite show back after 25 years. The iconic TV serial has a huge fan following and it is a treat to watch Tulsi and Mihir again. Their beautiful love story is winning hearts again. Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay have created the magic again. Ekta Kapoor gave the best gift to her audience by bringing back this iconic show. The show first aired in 2000 and had the highest TRPs ever. It got around 22 million impressions. Now, again, the show has created magic. It began on July 29 and is at the top of the TRP charts. It is ruling hearts and the first episode of the show itself got 2.5 million impressions. It recorded over 1.6 billion minutes watch time in its launch week. In just the first four days, the show drew 31.1 million viewers on TV.
Smriti Irani confirms her fees
Earlier, it was reported that Smriti Irani is now the highest paid actor of television industry. Reports suggested that she took home around Rs 14 lakhs per episode. Now, the actress has reacted to these rumours. She spoke to CNN News18 and said, “Such remuneration is justified for professionals who consistently deliver, as it also sets a benchmark for professionals to say that if one can deliver on history, numbers, and revenue, why not?”
She further said that many actors may not realize they have the right to negotiate terms in their professional contracts. She also spoke about the importance of collective representation. The actress added, “For one person to stand up and say listen, not only pay parity, I beat the boys and the girls and how much I make that is a lot of hard work.” This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
She also further explained that idea is that one is truly the star or do they have the professional capacity to make stars around them and she thinks she has it in her. She also said that her performance has helped elevate those around her.
