Amar Upadhyay talks about the competition with Anupamaa
During the conversation, Amar, who plays the role of Mihir Virani in the show, has a huge fan following. His on-screen chemistry with Smriti Irani aka Tulsi Virani, has managed to rule hearts. He revealed that he enjoys the contest among shows of the same channel and recalled the complete domination of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. He said it is really great about Star Plus that the competition is internal, not with others. He remembered how back then Kaun Banega Crorepati was number 1 when they started and Kyunki… was number 2, and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki was number 3. He further added, saying that these three shows used to run as 1-2-3. Even then, the competition was internal, and it’s still the same today. He even said that it is nice for a channel to have that.
Amar spoke about his bond with Smriti Irani
Amar praised his co-star Smriti Irani and said that she has not lost her passion for acting despite becoming a politician. He even said that Smriti has not changed and if one looks closely, she looks almost the same. He said that, ‘performance mein vahi josh hai, samajhdari hai.’ He said that his bond with Smriti has stood the test of time, and they are still very friendly.
