War 2 is the next big Bollywood release. The movie starring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani is going to release on August 14. The film also marks Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut. The hype around the film is immense thanks to the massive star power. The teaser, trailer and the songs have already created enough buzz for the movie. Recently, the song Aavan Jaavan was released and it has already become a favourite of fans. Now, as the release is near, reports about its CBFC certificate and more are hitting headline. Reportedly, the Censor Board asked for some changes before granting U/A 16+ certificate to War 2.
War 2 undergoes Censor Board scissors
As per a report in entertainment news portal Bollywood Hungama, CBFC has asked for a few changes in War 2. Though the high-octane action sequences remain untouched, the report claims that the censor board has asked for modification in other scenes. The makers have been reportedly asked to mute ‘inappropriate references’ in the audio and visuals. Allegedly, an ‘obscene’ dialogue has also been replaced. The censor board allegedly also asked the makers to remove an ‘obscene’ gesture made by a character. Further, the report states that the CBFC has asked the makers to reduce ‘sensual images’ by 50%. A total of 9 seconds of sensual visuals have been reported cut from the film. Though the CBFC has not clarified which scenes, it is being assumed that Kiara Advani’s bikini scene has been trimmed. With the changes, War 2 is now granted U/A 16+ certificate by the Censor Board. Reportedly, the movie is approximately 2 hours and 59 minutes long. However, the makers allegedly cut down the movie time further to approximately 2 hours 55 minutes.

War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films. It is the second instalment in War franchise. The first film starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in key roles. Vaani Kapoor was the female lead. War 2 is going to release on August 14 and will be clashing with Rajinikanth’s magnum-opus Coolie.
