Bachchan was criticised by internet users for shoving the man shortly after the video went viral. Some commenters believed that rather than shoving him away, the actress should have just declined to take a selfie.
“Jaya Bachchan doing it again, at her best. She could have simply refused a photo, but she pushes the man…. Why this arrogance, always? She doesn’t deserve to be in public life. Imagine the outrage if a BJP MP had done this,” an X user wrote.
