Delhi police has arrested the accused who has been behind Rapper Badshah’s Chandigarh club attack. Here’s who is Gangster Goldy Brar..
The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested Deepak, who is a resident of Faridkot, Punjab. In connection with the November 2024 crude bomb attack outside clubs in Chandigarh. One such club is owned by popular Bollywood rapper and singer Badshah. The cops said Deepak was in constant contact with gangster Goldy Brar, who claimed responsibility for the blasts. The cops have arrested the accused in Delhi. As per reports, the explosions occurred on November 26 last year outside Seville Bar and Lounge which is owned by Badshah, and De Orra Club, owned by local businessmen. CCTV footage shows a man throwing crude bombs before fleeing on a motorcycle with an accomplice. The blasts shattered glass windows but no one has been injured. On November 26, 2024, two low-intensity blasts shook sector 26 of Chandigarh around 3.15 AM.
Rapper Badshah’s Chandigarh club attack case
Police registered an FIR under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Explosives Act. During the earlier investigation, it was suspected to be an act of intimidation, which was allegedly done for extortion purposes.
“We received information in the control room that someone here had a personal issue. When the investigating officer arrived at the spot, he found broken glass. The case is still at a preliminary stage, and the forensic team is collecting evidence. We received the complaint at 3:25 AM,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Dilbagh Singh Dhaliwal told reporters at that time.
Who is Goldy Brar?
Goldy Brar is a Canada-based gangster who was born as Satinderjeet Singh in 1994 in Punjab’s Muktsar district. He later moved to Canada in 2017 on a student visa and now operates the Lawrence Bishnoi gang from abroad. He is accused of masterminding Sidhu Moose Wala’s 2022 killing and is wanted in India for murder, drug trafficking, and extortion. He has been declared a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). He has been linked to Babbar Khalsa International and several high-profile crimes. He remains on Canada’s top 25 most wanted list with a $50,000 reward under BOLO (Be on the Lookout) programme.
