There is always buzz around Shah Rukh Khan‘s films. We all have witnessed the mania and frenzy around his recent blockbuster hits Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. In 2023, Shah Rukh Khan delivered three major hits and took box office by storm. Now, all the fans are waiting with bated breath for his next big release. Shah Rukh Khan is next going to be seen in King that is directed by Siddharth Anand. The movie is in the making and it was being anticipated that it will release next year. However, it looks like the wait for King is going to be long.
King faces delay but why?
As per latest reports, it is being speculated that King is facing a delay. As reported by the entertainment news section of Mid-Day, the makers of King have reportedly delayed the shooting of the movie owing to Shah Rukh Khan’s shoulder injury. He suffered an injury while shooting an action-sequence for the film and since then, the makers have put a pause to the shoot. An insider revealed to the portal that the makers do not wish to take any risk with Shah Rukh Khan’s health and he needs to rest to recover. Thus, the movie will face a delay in the release. It was supposed to release in 2026 but will now hit theatres only in 2027. An insider was quoted saying, “The team is now chalking out the plan for the next schedule. Earlier, King was being pegged as a Gandhi Jayanti 2026 offering. That is not possible now; it may get pushed by months to have an early 2027 release.” The makers though are yet to officially confirm the release date of King.

Reportedly, Raghav Juyal has also been roped in to play a pivotal role in the movie. It is for the first time that Shah Rukh Khan will be sharing the screen space with daughter Suhana.
