YRF’s latest release War 2 has managed to grab everyone’s attention thanks to its massive star power. The movie brings back Hrithik Roshan as a RAW agent Kabir. War 2 directed by Ayan Mukerji also marks the Bollywood debut of superstar Jr NTR. He comes with a major fan following and has great hits like RRR and others in his filmography. The movie stars, Kiara Advani as the female lead. A lot of buzz was created as Kiara is seen in a never-seen-before Avatar in War 2. From pulling off a bikini scene to packing some punches, Kiara Advani has set the bar. With this, there is curiosity around box office reports of War 2.
War 2 box office collection so far
As reported by Sacnilk.com, War 2 has taken a great start at the box office. Hrithik Roshan’s movie has managed to draw audiences to the theatres and is in turn minting great money at the box office. As per the report, the movie has already made around Rs 17.07 crore so far. It has just been half a day since it’s release, and it is already nearing the Rs 20 crore mark. It looks like War 2 will easily beat the first day box office collection of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s latest release Saiyaara.
Saiyaara box office day 1 collection
Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara is the latest box office hit that had collected Rs 21 crore on its opening day. It continued a strong hold at the box office and managed to cross Rs 300 crore mark with its domestic collection. Currently, Saiyaara is the second highest crossing film of 2025. It looks like War 2 is on the path of beating Saiyaara at least with its first day business.
War 2 vs Coolie
With War 2 releasing on August 14, it has an advantage as it enjoys a long weekend. August 15, that is, Independence Day falls on Friday. Thus, War 2 has a great opportunity to have a fabulous first weekend at the box office. However, the movie is facing competition from Rajinikanth film Coolie. Both movies have released on the same day and is receiving great response at the box office.
