Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR’s War 2 released on August 14. The makers pulled a smart move to release the films a day before Independence Day in order to enjoy the perks of long weekend. Down South, the day turned into a festival as all the Rajinikanth fans stepped out to celebrate the release of Coolie. War 2 was also special as it marked Jr NTR’s entry into Bollywood. Both the films managed to mint massively on the opening day by crossing the Rs 50 crore mark. But did it have an impact on already running movies like Saiyaara and Mahavatar Narasimha? Mahavatar Narasimha box office collection day 21
Animated movie Mahavatar Narasimha that tells the tale of Lord Vishnu released on July 25. The movie received great reviews and took a good box office start. It stars Karan Trivedi, Akshay Joshi and others. However, the release of War 2 and Coolie has had its impact on Mahavatar Narasimha. On day 21, the movie made approximately Rs 2.70 crore at the box office. These are the early estimates. However, it appears that the film has witnessed a major drop in numbers. On day 20, the film had made around Rs 4.75 crore as reported by Sacnilk.com. The total collection of the movie is around Rs 188.45 crore by the end of day 21.
Saiyaara box office collection day 27
Ahaan Panday’s debut movie Saiyaara has turned out to be one of the highest grossing movies of the year 2025. In three weeks, the movie crossed the mark of Rs 300 crore. Of course, it has slowed down at the box office, however, the release of War 2 and Coolie has had a little impact on Saiyaara. On day 27, i.e., August 14, the movie made around Rs 1.25 crore approximately as per the early estimates. The difference isn’t much as on day 26, the film had made around Rs 1.5 crore. The total collection of Saiyaara now is Rs 322.60 crore.
Coolie vs War 2
Talking about the two latest releases, Rajinikanth’s movie has reportedly made around Rs 65 crore at the box office on its opening day. Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s film has made around Rs 52.5 crore as per the early estimates.
