The much-anticipated sequel will be released on January 22, 2026, just a few days ahead of Republic Day. As evident from the first poster, Sunny Deol looks fierce as he gets back to the battle. The intense first look features Sunny Deol in uniform and sparks nostalgia. Yes, it will remind you of his fierce look from the 1997 classic Border.

A few days back, media reports confirmed that Bollywood star Sunny Deol had finished shooting for his upcoming film Border 2. The 67-year-old actor Sunny had announced on his Instagram handle that he had finished filming the project. “Mission Accomplished! Fauji, signing off! My Shoot wrapped for #Border2. Jai Hind,” he posted in the caption. The post featured him walking in a soldier’s uniform.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the upcoming film is a follow-up to the 1997 blockbuster film Border. Border – directed by JP Dutta – also featured Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff and Akshaye Khanna in key roles.
Border 2 also features Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar along with Krishan Kumar, J P Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. In addition to Border 2, Sunny will next feature in Lahore 1947 along with Preity Zinta. The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan Productions.
