On 79th Independence Day, social media is abuzz with netizens sharing posts celebrating India’s glory. Quite a few celebrities too have made posts on social media to celebrate the day by sharing patriotic posts. One such post is made by Rupali Ganguly. The actress is known for essaying the role of Anupamaa in Rajan Shahi’s hit show. She has become a household name thanks to the show. The actress has also forayed into politics as she joined Bharatiya Janata Party in 2024. On Independence Day, the actress took to social media to talk about freedom.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), Rupali Ganguly shared that she is proud to be born as an Indian and mentioned that she hopes to celebrate this freedom with kindness. She wrote, “Proud to be born in a land of courage, culture & countless dreams. Let’s celebrate freedom with kindness, to every human & every living being. Happy Independence Day!” This comes after Rupali Ganguly raised her voice against the ruling of Supreme Court against stray dogs. Earlier, she made several posts stating that people should stand up in defence of the voiceless and be kind toward animals. She had also said that the order passed by Supreme Court to put Delhi Stray Dogs in shelters should be revoked.
Not just Rupali Ganguly, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 star Smriti Irani took to social media to pen a patriotic note on 79th Independence Day. In Hindi, she wrote that everyone should fulfil duties to make India a strong and prosperous country. Smriti Irani, who is also a politician, recently marked her comeback to acting with the second season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. She has reprised her role of Tulsi Virani in the show.
