Fahadh Faasil has proved to be one of the most versatile actors of Indian cinema. The actor has delivered incredible performances in movies like Aavesham, Pushpa 2, Malik, Joji, Trance, Athiran and many more. He now enjoys a great fan following not just with Malayalam movie lovers, but all cinema lovers. In a recent interview, Fahad Faasil spoke about an opportunity that he had to feature in international project. However, that revealed why he rejected the project.

In a recent interview with Cue studio, he revealed that he was in talks with academy award Mexican filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu for an international project. Fahadh Faasil shared that it was his accent that turned out to be a hurdle for his casting in the movie. The actor mentioned that the filmmaker was concerned about his accent and he was then asked to go to the US for a few months to perfect accent. However, the production team wasn’t willing to pay for his travel and stay in the US. Thus he felt that the commercial aspects would have not worked out and hence he skipped out of the project. Fahadh Faasil was quoted saying, “To perfect the accent, I was told to go to the US and stay there for three or four months. But they weren’t ready to pay for that. That’s why I skipped it. Otherwise, I would have gone running. The commercial aspects of it wouldn’t have worked out.” He also shared that he didn’t feel that kind of a fire to do so much for his accent.
Fahadh Faasil’s love for Malayalam cinema
Further, in the interview, he expressed his gratitude for whatever he has achieved through Malayalam cinema. He shared that whatever magic has happened to him, it has been through Malayalam cinema and even in the future, he would not like to be a part of it.
On the work front, Fahadh Faasil was last seen in a movie called Maareesan. It was a Tamil thriller that received a good response over its theatrical release. Now the movies OTT release is creating buzz. The film will release on Netflix on August 22.
