Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 managed to take box office by storm over the first fours days, then saw sharp dip. Here’s the latest box office report.
Coolie vs War 2 box office day 6: Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 have been competing fiercely at the box office. Both films were released on the same day that is August 14, resulting in a box office war. Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj boasts the star power of superstars like Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan and others along with Rajinikanth. On the other hand, the inclusion of South star Jr NTR as the antagonist is War 2’s high point. Both films had a successful opening weekend, and the box office figures for the first Tuesday is now available.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Coolie saw a steep fall on Day 6 (Tuesday), receiving just Rs 1.4 crore (all languages so far). This is the film’s lowest single-day performance to date, highlighting a significant drop following the lengthy Independence Day weekend. Despite the fall, the film managed to break the Rs 200 mark, bringing the net total to Rs 208.05 crore.

According to a Sacnilk report, War 2 made Rs 1.25 crore on its sixth day of release across all languages, its slowest day at the box office to yet. Until August 19, the film has garnered roughly Rs 184.4 crore. This is a huge decline from its early days, as well as a continuation of the downturn that began on Monday.

Rajinikanth plays the main lead in the film. Simon, the main antagonist, is portrayed by Nagarjuna. The actor previously said in a statement that the movie has received a huge amount of positive feedback. Ayan Mukerji is the director and Yash Raj Films is the producer of War 2, the sequel to the 2019 movie War, which is said to have a budget of Rs 300–400 crore. In addition to Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, and Anil Kapoor play important parts in the film. “Things get complicated when Kabir Dhaliwal, a secret agent, is accused of betraying his nation and his former batchmate Vikram is assigned the task of finding him,” stated film database platform IMDb while describing the plot of the film.
