In a recent interview, Bharti Singh once again opened up on how her mother tried to abort her as the family was struggling financially.
Bharti Singh reveals her mother tried to abort her
In a podcast with Raj Shamani, Bharti Singh shared that she is the third child. She shared that her father worked at a factory and mother was a housewife. She mentioned that her mother tried various tricks to abort her. “Phir meri mummy ne itni saari jadibutiyaan baba logon se milke khaayi, paer ke bal baith ke poche maare, garam cheez-papita, khajur-kha liya ki yeh rahe na. But I had to come. My mother gave birth to me on her own. She was alone at home, and my father had a night duty.” She revealed that her mother only called a dai to cut the cord and gave her Rs 60. She added that she was an ‘unwanted child’ but her parents gave her a lot of love and now, she has bought a house worth Rs 1.60 crore for her mother.
Bharti Singh’s journey to success
Bharti Singh rose to fame with her appearance in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Her performance as child character Lalli received a lot of appreciation. She stood as the second runner-up on the show. She then appeared in Comedy Circus. As she climbed up the ladder of success, she became one of the prominent TV hosts. She got a lot of acclaim for her hosting skills that she mixed with comedy. She also appeared in Kapil Sharma’s show. Recently, she was seen hosting Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment season 2.
