Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, who was a well-known business tycoon and chairman of mobility giant Sona Comstar passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 53 in June. His death news came as a shock for all. Post his death, a legal battle grabbed a lot of attention over claims over the family-run empire. Sunjay’s sister Mandhira Kapur has revealed how her mother was forced to sign legal papers alone by his wife Priya Sachdev.
Mandhira Kapur REVEALS her mother was forced to sign legal papers
During an interview with Mandhira Kapur told Republic that the papers are not showing them that they have gotten signed in this 13-day period that they have taken over. She even said that her mother was made to sign papers behind locked doors and it happened twice. She said that she was standing at the door, banging on it and grieving.
Mandhira further said that there were two doors – a door inside and a door outside. She said that her mother could not hear her and said that she had to sign some papers during the mourning period. Mandhira said that her mother was in deep grief, and she told her daughter, ‘I don’t know what papers I’ve signed. And since then, we’ve been asking and getting no response. So, what are you hiding from us? I think this will all unfold at some point, and the truth will come out.’
Mandhira Kapur on Priya Sachdeva not sending papers yet
Mandhira said that her mother demanded to see the papers. Priya had promised to send them over, but the mother and daughter have not received it yet. They were informed that Priya’s email is compromised and they cannot send them anything. Priya is currently the Non-Executive Director of Sona Comstar. Mandhira and Sunjay were estranged and she said that the siblings had a fight. She said that their fight does not take away the 40+ years before that and the fact that she is Dr. Kapur’s daughter still remains the same. Mandhira even denied the speculation that she only returned to stake a claim in her brother’s inheritance. She revealed that she is not fighting for inheritance, but for legacy.
