The demise of Punjabi veteran actor Jaswinder Bhalla left everyone in shock and grief. Many celebrities, both from the Punjabi film industry and Bollywood, including Akshay Kumar, Neeru Bajwa among others have mourned his demise.
Jaswinder Bhalla Death: Known as the “comedy king” of Punjab, Jaswinder Bhalla was a well-known Punjabi comedian and actor who died on Friday at the age of 65. He was taken to Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where he passed away in the early hours. The veteran had been suffering from a long-term illness. According to the family, his last rites will take place at the Balongi Cremation Ground in Mohali on Saturday, August 23 at noon. The entertainment industry was shocked to learn about Jaswinder Bhalla’s passing, with many celebrities taking to their social media handle to mourn his demise.
Akshay Kumar mourns Jaswinder Bhalla’s death
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar expressed his sorrow on X (previously Twitter). Sharing a picture of Bhalla, he wrote in Punjabi, “Jaswinder Bhalla ji da be-waqat dehant Punjabi film industry nu wadda ghata, Rab ohna di aatma nu shanti bakhshey. Tusi bahut yaad aaogey Bhalla ji. (The untimely demise of Jaswinder Bhalla ji is a huge loss for the Punjabi film industry. May God bless his soul with peace. You will be deeply missed, Bhalla ji).”

Shikhar Dhawan pays his condolences
Shikhar Dhawan, a former cricket player, also sent his condolences. “I am shocked to hear about the passing of legendary actor Jaswinder Bhalla ji. His contribution to Punjabi cinema and the joy he brought to millions will always be remembered.My condolences to his family and loved ones.Om Shanti,” Dhawan wrote.
Neeru Bajwa also expressed her grief
Neeru Bajwa, a Punjabi actress, too shared her sadness over Jaswinder Bhalla’s passing. “Saddened to have woken up to this tragic news.Bhalla Saab was truly respected and admired, and his contributions will be remembered with great honor. Rest in peace Sir… my condolences to the family,” Neeru posted.
