Bigg Boss 19 is making headlines for all the right reasons. From contestant fighting over meals to asserting themselves as winners, the viewers are happy watching them speak their mind, and emerge as tough competitors. Interestingly, there is one Bigg Boss contestant who is now challenging actor Urvashi Rautela’s ‘boss’ tag. She is known for her fierce personality as both influencer and entrepreneur. This contestant hasn’t wasted time in ensuring she is being respected in the controversial house. This contestant is confident, demands respect and shows no qualms in speaking her mind. On her first day in the house, Tanya Mallik was part of a discussion on how women are referred to. For the unversed, Kunickaa asked a fellow contestant to not refer to any other woman as “ma’am” except her. Tanya was quick to intervene and say, “Mujhe toh ma’am bolo, mujhe boss hi bolte hain sab log.” She stressed on the fact that her family also calls her “boss”.
What did Tanya Mallik say about respect?
She added, “Girls don’t get respect easily, they have to take it by putting pressure… I don’t want to get respect only when I turn 50. I want it now.” This led to several reactions from fans on social media. While some called her arrogant, many lauded her confidence. Tanya further stressed on the fact that she travels with bodyguards. In her words, this isn’t a luxury, but a norm in her family. “My bodyguards saved 100 people in Kumbh Mela… We have a habit of walking with security. We like having PSOs and staff,” she told them.
What did Tanya Mallik tell Pranit More?
But what really caught everyone’s attention was her conversation with comedian Pranit More wherein she stated that she wanted to maintain her identity without compromising it. “I am still wearing saree and coming here… I reached here without doing those types of scenes or wearing those types of clothes,” she said. Within minutes her statements went viral and fans were not impressed. She was called “egoistic,” “delusional,” and “narcissistic.” Many also drew comparisons between her and Urvashi Rautela and referred to her as “Urvashi 2.0.”
