The controversy surrounding South Korean actress Song Ha-Yoon regarding the alleged school bullying accusation has taken a new turn. The complainant is ready to cooperate with the investigation and has returned to the country for the same matter. This arrival, a year after the accusation, has brought fresh momentum after the allegations were first reported by JTBC , along with new evidence, particularly emails related to bullying and Song Ha-Yoon’s agency.
The accuser, currently identified only as “A,” has issued multiple public statements since the controversy began. In her fourth statement on August 25, she revealed that she tried to seek a resolution outside of court and aimed to maintain both parties’ dignity. “I had no intention of making this into a dispute from the beginning. After the third statement, I suggested to her law firm that we cease all legal action and resolve the matter with dignity,” she explained.
A particular discussion regarding the financial support for the accuser’s travel expenses also surfaced online. Apparently, Song Ha-Yoon’s representatives offered to cover some of ” A’s” expenses to return to Korea. However, the accuser refused the offer as inadequate. She clarified that she had personally covered airfare, accommodation, and transportation, constantly stressing that the actress’s side exaggerated its contribution significantly. “Song Ha-Yoon’s side represented it as paying 100 percent of the total, but in reality, it is only a partial settlement within a limited scope. Even with simple calculations, I will have to bear at least six times more than Song Ha-Yoon’s limited support,” she stated.
The allegations that caused this controversy originally trace back to 2004, when both attended Banpo High School. “A” accused Song of constant bullying during that period, and these claims reportedly forced Song to transfer schools at the time. After the initial JTBC report, other classmates also stepped forward with corroborating accounts, fueling speculation and controversy.
Now the accuser is preparing to submit email evidence to investigators . The case is likely to regain public attention after months of delayed progress. Whether the matter leads to formal charges or further disputes remains to be seen, but Song Ha-Yoon’s reputation faces new blows and criticism as the investigation unfolds.
