Actress Prarthana Behere was spotted crying during her co-star Priya Marathe’s funeral on Sunday, August 31. Marathe died at the age of 38 at her Mira Road home following a year-long battle with cancer.
The actress Priya Marathe, who played Varsha in Pavitra Rishta, unexpectedly died at the age of 38 at her home on Mira Road in Mumbai. She worked in the Marathi entertainment sector and has been fighting cancer for the previous year. Prarthana Behere was among the industry colleagues who attended her final rites on Sunday, August 31.

Prarthana Behere, who portrayed Vaishali in Pavitra Rishta, had a strong relationship with Priya and were seen crying. As she lamented her colleague’s death, she was seen sobbing and folding her hands.
Actors Om Prakash Shinde, Abhijeet Khandekar, Astad Kale, and Shalmali Toyle were also in attendance at the funeral and they were clearly moved as they paid their respects.

Priya is survived by her husband, Shantanu Moghe, a Marathi actor best known for playing Chhatrapati Shivaji in the television series Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji.

Usha Nadkarni shared how Sushant Singh Rajput and Priya are no more, remembering Priya and lamenting her demise. Usha stated that Priya was a very calm girl who focused solely on her work and never engaged in masti or bothered with anyone on the Pavitra Rishta sets.
Speaking to TellyChakkar, Usha said, “This wasn’t the age to leave us, she had just got married, she should’ve been starting a family, raising her kids. I had thought of meeting her of late, but then decided against it because she may not have been looking good, her hair would’ve fallen off due to her cancer treatment, and she wouldn’t have wanted us to see her in that state.”
