Spiritual influencer and entrepreneur Tanya Mittal isn’t affected with the massive criticism she received earlier this year. Tanya, who continues to make headlines for her participation in the ongoing reality show Bigg Boss 19, has claimed that she remains unfazed by the backlash she got for her comments on April 22 Pahalgam attack.
What did Tanya say?
For the unversed, Tanya’s comment “Terrorism has no religion” led to a massive uproar on social media. Since she had mentioned “Brand Ambassador, MP Tourism” on her Instagram bio, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department was quick to clarify that she didn’t officially hold any such title. The shocking incident made many wonder if her career would be impacted by it.
However, she wasn’t affected much by the consequences. She said, “When the controversy happened, just 48 hours after that I was traveling and making videos. It really didn’t affect me. I know my truth. Agar acchai ko apni achai sabit karne nikalna padta hai, uss din burayi jeet jaati hai. You be a good person and be sure that I am a good person and leave the place where people don’t respect your goodness.”
Tanya further explained that someone may have said something about her and felt she was a misfit. “But by saying that, can they deny the fact that we had been working together for 8 months?” she asked. She also mentioned that the tourism board simply proved a point that when there are difficult times, no one is standing with each other. “And I am very happy that they left me because now we are more involved in other states, too. So is there anything stopping me?”
In a video message Tanya had said, “Saying anything on this issue is critical and sensitive for me. In the media, there is talk of terrorists and terrorism. I, on the other hand, think terrorism has no religion.”
