Malayalam superhero movie Lokah Chapter 1 has managed to win at the box office. It is creating waves not just at the domestic box office but even overseas.
After Malayalam superhero movie Minnal Murali, it is Lokah Chapter 1 is creating waves at the box office. The movie that is directed by Dominic Arun is produced by Dulquer Salmaan. The movie stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen, Sandy, Arun Kurian, Chandu Salimkumar, Nishanth Sagar, Raghunath Paleri, Vijayaraghavan, Nithya Shri and Sarath Sabha in key roles. The film released on August 28. Within four days, it has managed to mint massive money at the box office. The film is said to have earned more than Rs 20 crore in domestic market. Now, it is the worldwide collection of the movie that has caught attention.
Lokah Chapter 1 worldwide box office collection report
As reported by Sacnilk.com, Lokah Chapter 1 made around Rs 10 crore at the box office on first Sunday, i.e., day 4. Thus the total net collection of the movie has touched the mark of Rs 24.30 crore. As per the reports, the gross domestic collection of the movie is approximately Rs 28.4 crore. As reported by Hindustan Times, the worldwide box office collection of the movie has now crossed the mark of Rs 60 crore. Its overall collection is said to be $4 million, i.e., Rs 35 crore. With this, the movie has entered the top highest-grossing Malayalam movies list. Lokah Chapter 1 has managed to beat Mohanlal’s 2013 hit film Drishyam. The film had reported made Rs 62 crore. Back then, it was the first Malayalam movie to Rs 50 crore. Now, Lokah Chapter 1 is ahead of Drishyam. Currently, the highest grossing Malayalam movie is L2: Empuraan that starred Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film’s worldwide gross collection was more than Rs 250 crore.
Hridayapoorvam box office collection report
Lokah Chapter 1 clashed with Mohanlal’s movie Hridayapoorvam at the box office. Both the films hit the theatres on August 28. Hridayapoorvam has so far collected Rs 12.60 crore at the Indian box office. On Sunday, the movie made around Rs 3.85 crore. These are the early estimates. Clearly, Lokah Chapter 1 is ahead of Hridayapoorvam in this box office battle.
