Many Bollywood stars own fancy restaurants. Shilpa Shetty was one of them. She owned Bastian Bandra – one of the most popular joints among celebrities and others. However, Bastian Bandra is shutting doors. Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram stories to share the news with all. She penned a lengthy note stating that it is an ‘end of an era’ as she stated that Mumbai’s one of the iconic destinations will close. The reason behind its closing has not been revealed though.
Shilpa Shetty’s Bastian Bandra shuts down
In the social media post, Shilpa Shetty wrote, “This Thursday marks the end of an era as we bid farewell to one of Mumbai’s most iconic destinations – BASTIAN BANDRA. A venue that gave us countless memories, unforgettable nights, and moments that shaped the city’s nightlife now takes its final bow.” She also mentioned that a special evening has been organised for the loyal patrons of Bandra Bastian on the coming Thursday. She, however, added that the brand’s legacy will continue with as the new chapter will begin at Bastian at the Top.
Details of alleged fraud case against Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra
This comes amid the massive Rs 60 crore fraud case against Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. A Mumbai-based businessman named Deepak Kothari filed a case against the couple alleging that he was duped of Rs 60.4 crore. The fraud is said to be in connection with a loan-cum-investment scheme that is linked to couple’s defunct venture Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. As per the reports, the complainant has alleged that the funds were misappropriately used for for personal expenses between 2015 and 2023. However, as reported by The Hindu, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s lawyer claimed that it is a ‘baseless and malicious case’ aimed to malign his clients. The actress hasn’t spoken on the controversy as yet.
