In a strong show of commitment to celebrating India’s storytelling heritage, Netflix has launched Kurukshetra, a new series that reinterprets the classic conflicts and insights of the Mahabharata. Anu Sikka developed and created the series, which Tipping Point produces, with Alok Jain, Anu Sikka, and Ajit Andhare serving as producers. Ujaan Ganguly has written and directed Kurukshetra. Renowned poet and lyricist Gulzar is the official lyricist. It will truly elevate the narration and the overall beauty of the series.
Kurukshetra- A Fresh Perspective on the Mahabharata?
Kurukshetra is a production that offers a fresh perspective on the Mahabharata. It has a powerful narrative that showcases the emotional depth and moral challenges of significant events. The story is told through the viewpoints of 18 main warriors, each facing personal conflicts, grudges, and the heavy weight of a war that divides them. By presenting the greatest Indian tale through the lens of Dharmayudh, the show will be released in two parts, with each part featuring 9 episodes.
First Mythological Anime from Netflix India

Netflix India is stepping into the animated mythology genre with Kurukshetra. This reimagining of the epic links ancient wisdom to today’s world. Kurukshetra will premiere on October 10, exclusively on Netflix.
