Indian box office has been witnessing one of the biggest clashes with Tiger Shroff’s high-octane action thriller and Vivek Agnihotri’s controversial political drama. Here’s a look at their box office receipts.
Baaghi 4 vs The Bengal Files box office: Even though neither movie is doing particularly well at the box office, the conflict between Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files is still making news. Although the films were released on September 5 with much anticipation, they have not yet gained enough traction to be deemed complete successes.

According to the Sacnilk report, Baaghi 4 generated Rs. 2.25 crore in revenue on the domestic market on Wednesday. This follows the film’s earnings of Rs 4.5 crore and Rs 4 crore in India on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. In the Tiger Shroff film’s box office history, this is the lowest number to date. However, with a total of 42 crores, the film has finally surpassed the Rs 40 crore milestone.

With a respectable opening of Rs 1.75 crore on Friday, the movie gained modest traction throughout the weekend, earning Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday (a 28.57% increase) and Rs 2.75 crore on Sunday (a 22.22% increase). The trajectory for the week, however, was less encouraging. Tuesday saw a modest comeback with Rs 1.35 crore after Monday’s collection fell to Rs 1.15 crore (a 58.18% decrease). A weakening midweek performance is shown in the Wednesday decline to Rs 88 lakhs.

The Bengal Files is the third and final installment of Agnihotri’s Files trilogy, which includes The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files. The film promises to expose the purported murder of Hindus in post-Partition West Bengal, which the producers contend has been overlooked in historical accounts. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, and Pallavi Joshi, to mention a few.

Baaghi 4 is the fourth installment in the franchise, which began with the 2016 film Baaghi starring Tiger and Shraddha Kapoor. Baaghi 4 also features Sonam Bajwa, Shreyas Talpade, Saurabh Sachdeva, Upendra Limaye, and Sheeba Akashdeep Sabir in prominent parts. Sajid Nadiadwala wrote both the story and the script. It was directed by A. Harsha and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
