Bollywood superstar Govinda has been making headlines about his claims that James Cameron approached him for the film ‘Avatar‘. This has sparked controversy over the years. Now, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja has clarified on the topic. In a recent conversation on Uorfi Javed’s YouTube channel, Sunita has opened up about the controversy behind.
Their conversation started with the recent episode of ‘The Traitors’, and Uorfi asked Sunita if Govinda would consider joining a reality show like that. Sunita replied, ‘It would be a big deal if Govinda even does a film first. We’re waiting for when he’ll do one. He’s not getting a good subject right now, so I don’t know what he’s thinking.’

Continuing with their conversation, Uorfi asked about the rumour behind Govind’s Avatar controversy and asked why Govinda turned it down. Sunita replied, ‘Arey yaar mujhe toh nahi pata yeh kab offer hui, 40 saal toh mujhe hogaye hain Govinda ke saath. Vo Avatar ka director-producer kab aaya mujhe nahi malum. Hui bhi hai ki nahi mujhe nahi malum. Main jhooth nahi bolti naa main kisi ka side lungi. Main jhooth ka saath nahi deti.’
What claim was made by Govinda?
Earlier this year, the claims were made by Govinda during a chat with Mukesh Khanna on his YouTube Channel. In the conversation, the actor revealed that he turned down the lead role in the film Avatar and also suggested the film’s title. He rejected the 18 crore deal and said that if he paints his body, he will be in the hospital.

Coming to Govinda’s film career, he was last seen in the 2019 film Rangeela Raja, which was a box office failure. Since then, he has not appeared in any movies.
