There are 6,195 Kantara Chapter 1 screenings planned around India, including 1,317 Kannada, 3703 Hindi, 43 Telugu, 247 Tamil, and 885 Malayalam.
Kantara Chapter 1 Advance Booking: Rishab Shetty is preparing to release the second edition of the Kantara franchise on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2. While the original film revealed the mythical realm of DaivaNartaka, the next prequel will explore the story’s roots. The prequel was revealed shortly after Kantara became a global phenomenon, grossing Rs 400 crore at the box office on a small budget of Rs 15 lakh.
Over 1.6 lakh tickets sold in 24 hours
Advance reservations show how excited people are about Kantara 2’s release. Over 1.6 lakh tickets were sold in the first 24 hours of ticket sales on BookMyShow, bringing in Rs 5.47 crore. With blocked seats, the total revenue increased to Rs 8.31 crore.

About Kantara Chapter 1
Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram play important parts in Kantara 2, which was written and directed by Rishab Shetty. With an estimated budget of Rs 125 crore, the second installment, which was produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, is substantially larger than Kantara (2022), which was shot on a budget of Rs 15 crore.
International regions such as North America and Ireland, will also see the release of Kantara Chapter 1.
Kantara Chapter 1 Chennai event cancelled
The creators of Kantara 2 recently cancelled a promotional event in Chennai after 40 people were killed in a terrible stampede at star Vijay’s rally.
A statement read, “In view of the recent unfortunate incident, we have decided to cancel our Kantara Chapter 1 promotional event scheduled in Chennai tomorrow. We believe this is a time for reflection and solidarity with those affected. Our deepest condolences and prayers are with the families impacted. We are grateful for your understanding and support, and we look forward to meeting our audience in Tamil Nadu at a more appropriate time.”
