Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 3: Rishabh Shetty’s film Kantara Chapter 1, a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, was released on October 2, 2025, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra. The film had a strong opening on its first day, recording the second-highest opening of the year. Audiences were enthusiastic about the film, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark within two days of its release. Released in five languages, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam—it received a strong response nationwide. According to the reports of Sacnilk, the film had a strong opening of Rs 61.85 crore on its first day. On the second day, it earned Rs 46 crore. On the third day, the film’s earnings had reached Rs 55 crore net, according to Sacnilk, bringing its three-day domestic total to Rs 162.85 crore.

Kantara Chapter 1 breaks several records

Kantara Chapter 1 has broken the box office records of most Kannada films released this year. It has become the second-highest grossing Kannada film after Mahavatara Narasimha. Furthermore, it has surpassed the earnings of several Bollywood films such as Jolly LLB 3 which earned Rs 104.1 crore, Sikandar which made Rs 110.36 crore, and Sky Force, collecting Rs 113.62 crore. The film’s next target is to break the record of Aamir Khan’s Sitar Zameen Par, which had a lifetime gross of Rs 166.19 crore.

Kantara Chapter 1 worldwide box office collection

According to reports, Rishabh Shetty’s film grossed Rs 148 crore worldwide in just two days. After adding the third day’s domestic collection, the film’s total worldwide earnings have reached nearly Rs 200 crore. The film’s story is based on tales of gods and goddesses dating back thousands of years.
