Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda, who met with a severe accident, passed away on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, Jawanda’s last conversation with his wife before the accident has been revealed by one of his close friends.
Punjabi singer-actor Rajvir Jawanda is no more. Jawanda had been critical for over 11 days after he met with a road accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, when he collided with stray cattle, leading to severe head and spinal injuries, followed by a cardiac arrest. The singer was undergoing treatment at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where despite being closely monitored by specialists, he passed away on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, Rajvir’s friends and family, including the leaders of Punjab, have been mourning his loss.
Rajvir Jawanda’s last call with his wife
Jawanda was riding a 1300cc motorcycle. His last conversation with his wife has been revealed. Rajvir’s close friend told Daily Post Punjabi that his wife had explicitly told him not to leave the house that day, but unfortunately, he still went along with his plan. The friend also highlighted the immense pain the family is going through. Despite the wife’s reservations, destiny seemed to have other plans and Rajvir went ahead with his bike ride to Shimla, which resulted in a severe accident, leading to his death.
Medical efforts before Rajvir Jawanda’s passing
Following the accident, Jawanda was first treated at a local hospital in Solan and transferred to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, due to the severity of his injuries. At the hospital, he was on life support under the supervision of critical care. Despite the efforts of the medical team, his condition remained critical until his death, marking the heartbreaking end of his battle for life.

Rajvir Jawanda, a Ludhiana-born Punjabi singer and actor, a resident of Sector 71, Mohali, Jawanda was widely loved for his hit songs such as Surname, Kamla, Mera Dil, and Sardari. He also made his mark in Punjabi cinema with roles in films including Jind Jaan, Mindo Taseeldarni, and Kaka Ji. He begun his musical journey in 2014 with the single Munda Like Me, Jawanda quickly rose to fame for his soulful voice and lyrics celebrating Punjabi pride and culture. He had originally aspired to become a police officer but chose instead to follow his true calling which was music.
