Mirai was released on Sep 12, 2025. It has Teja Sajja in the lead role, and it was a huge hit at the box office. The audiences loved the movie, and it was appreciated by fans and critics alike. Now, with it rocking at the box office, the fantasy film is all set to release on OTT. The adventure film was directed by Karthik Gattamneni and earned over Rs 140 crores (Rs 1.4 billion) at the worldwide box office. It has been less than a week since its release, and Mirai is all set to stream online, from Oct 10, 2025.

This box office blockbuster will be available to stream on JioHotstar. The OTT platform wrote in an announcement post, “Nine scriptures. Infinite power. One Superyodha to protect the Brahmand. #Mirai, India’s own superhero, is coming to your home, streaming from October 10. #MiraiOnJioHotstar.”
Mirai’s plotline
Starring Teja Sajja, famous for Hanu-Man, the superhero drama mixes Indian mythology and Indian history. The story revolves around Vedha Prajapati (played by Tejja), who is an orphan, unaware of his roots. He soon gets to know that he is the protector of the nine sacred scriptures of the Emperor Ahsoka, as per the prophecy. He then has to fight against the Black Sword, which is a group led by Mahabir Lama.

Along with Teja Sajja, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, and others play a vital role in the movie. Mirai is directed by Karthik and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad (from their People Media Factory). The next part of the film, Mirai: Jaithraya, is also currently in the making. The sequel of the film will have Rana Daggubati as its villain. Even though the film had mixed reviews, it got a lot of good ones for its extravagant cinematography and visuals, its unique concept, and its refreshing performances.
The film was released in five languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
