Salman Khan celebrated 35 years in the industry by walking the ramp for designer Vikram Phadnis’s spectacular fashion show, a rare runway appearance. At the event, which had as its theme Vintage India, more than 100 models displayed archival-inspired designs that combined traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibilities, highlighting traditional Indian aesthetics.

What did Salman wear for the fashion event?

The star’s arrival attracted notice right away. Salman radiated subtle elegance while wearing a black kurta-pyjama covered with a sherwani-style jacket that was exquisitely embroidered. Rich silk was used to create the jacket, which included Vikram Phadnis’ characteristic embellishment with gold and maroon flower designs around the shoulders, chest, and sleeves. His signature slicked-back hair and black leather shoes finished the look, and the few accessories he wore kept the attention on the clothing.

Salman’s family were seated in the first row. Alizeh Agnihotri, his niece, cheered with joy as Orry, whose real name is Orhan Awatramani, recorded the event on his phone. As Salman descended the ramp, Joyce Arora, Malaika Arora’s mother, was also seen grinning and cheering. The occasion is further connected by the friendship of Vikram Phadnis and Malaika, who was previously married to Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan.

Strict security planned next to ramp

What caught the eyes was the security presence next to the ramp. Salman was accompanied by guards, which is not often seen at fashion events. It was reasonable to take safeguards given the actor’s history of security threats, which included gunfire at his home and suspected plans by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This ramp walk is especially notable because Salman hasn’t made many public appearances in recent years.
