Amidst the ongoing hype for Brad Pitt’s film F1: The Movie, which is all set to release on June 27, the actor’s house in Los Angeles got ransacked. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that on June 25, 2025, at 10:30 p.m., three suspects scaled a fence, smashed a front window, and stormed into Brad Pitt’s chic mid-century modern home in Los Feliz, popularly known as the Steel House.
What Really Happened? According to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department, the thieves “ransacked” the whole place, running off with an undisclosed amount of precious items. The LAPD has been really tight-lipped about the whole incident and has been hesitant in revealing what was stolen, but sources say the house was left in “a real mess.” The police are diving into surveillance footage from Pitt’s property and the neighborhood to track down the culprits, who remain at large. Pitt’s reps have also decided to keep quiet and declined to comment on the incident. The popular Hollywood star recently bought this $5.5 million house in April 2023, complete with a pool, hot tub, and city views.
Not the First Robbery in LA However, this hasn’t been the first incident of a celebrity’s house being broken into, especially in Los Angeles. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban also made headlines earlier this year as their home got hit in February. Even popular Hollywood star Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s place was targeted in August 2024. The FRIENDS-famed actress Jennifer Aniston also dealt with a stalker crashing her Bel Air gate in LA last month.
The LAPD’s digging deep for the culprits but still has not been able to identify any as of now. Another thing which is unclear is if Brad Pitt’s home was specifically targeted or just another high-end hit in L.A.’s ongoing burglary wave. With no arrests in the case yet, Brad Pitt is likely to double down on his security while keeping his focus on F1’s box office run, as the film’s early reviews suggest it’s a crowd-pleaser, but this off-screen drama’s got everyone talking.
