Their kids Samaira and Kiaan are currently in the middle of a legal battle with Sunjay’s third wife Priya Sachdev over his will. Amidst all the legal chaos, Karisma Kapoor has shared a heartfelt story on Instagram to celebrate the 54th birthday of her late husband. She posted a story in which she shared a photograph of a cake with “Happy birthday, Dad” written on it. To add to the emotions, Kareena Kapoor also re-shared the story, with the caption saying, “My Sam and Kiu, Dad is protecting you always and forever,” along with a heart emoji.

How did Sunjay Kapur die?
For the unversed, Sanjay Kapur, who was a known businessman and an industrialist, passed away in June this year. The chairman of Sona Comstar, a well-known auto parts manufacturer, lost his life while playing polo in London. According to the initial reports, Sunjay suffered from a heart attack, which was caused after he accidentally swallowed a honeybee.
What is legal battle between Priya and Kiaan and Samaira about?
Sunjay Kapur was married to Karisma Kapoor from 2003 to 2016. The businessman was a parent to two children with Karisma, Kiaan and Samaira. He then got married to Priya in 2017. Now, Karisma’s kids have filed a plea in the court, accusing Priya of fabricating their father’s will. Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani pointed out several “glaring errors” in the will.
