Arjun Bijlani speaks out about his clash with Akriti Negi and Aditya Narayan’s betrayal after winning Rise and Fall. Read on to know more.
Discussing his strategy, Arjun Bijlani said that the most important thing to survive in this game is understanding and patience. He said, “I never underestimate my competitors. When 15 people come together, you have to be very observant, and by nature, I’m very observant,” says Arjun, adding, “There were so many things to understand in this game because your progress depended entirely on your gameplay.” Arjun explained that progress in this game depends entirely on your moves, so every step has to be taken carefully. While the joy of winning was immense, being away from family and going through the emotional ups and downs of the show was not easy. He admitted, “I did lose my cool on a few occasions, but that’s what happens when you’re part of such a show,” he confesses. “I tried to play the game with integrity, but there were certain situations where I had heated arguments.”
What did Arjun say on his clash with Akriti?
A major controversy erupted during the show when Akshari Negi misbehaved with Arjun and showed him the middle finger. Akshari faced a lot of criticism on social media for this incident. Responding to this, Arjun said, mething that earned her massive backlash online. Addressing the issue, Arjun says, “I think forgiving is very important. Akriti is a very pretty, talented girl, a beautiful dancer. She even apologised in front of everyone, and I respect that. We’ve had great moments after that. I like to forget the past because she’s going to do many more shows. I just hope she doesn’t repeat the mistakes she made with a senior person.” He clearly stated that he has no grudges with anyone and is always focused on moving forward.
During the show, Arjun’s son, Ayaan, also made a surprise entry. He told his father that Aditya Narayan was playing him. Initially, Arjun didn’t believe Ayaan and thought there might have been a misunderstanding. Arjun explained, “I did not believe it at first because he swore on his mother. I didn’t think Aditya would lie on his mother — I thought there was a misunderstanding, that Ayaan, being a kid, might have heard or understood something wrong,” But later, when the truth came out, Arjun realized that Ayaan was right and Aditya had indeed betrayed him.
Arjun said,“My right shoulder was already injured, and things could have gone terribly wrong. Thankfully, nothing bad happened. But now that I’m out of the house, I know that Aditya played me and lied even after swearing on his mother.” Arjun explained that he tried to maintain his integrity throughout the game and decided to learn from his mistakes and move forward. According to him, in reality shows like these, what matters more than winning is the impact you leave on others through your behavior and play.
