Vishnu Manchu‘s movie Kannappa released in the theatres yesterday (June 27). The film directed by Manoj Kumar Singh opened to good reviews on first day. It received a great response as fans only had good things to say about this mythological drama. As it released in theatres, the movie faced competition from the already running films – Sitaare Zameen Par and Kuberaa. Aamir Khan and Dhanush’ movies released on June 20 and showcased strong hold at the box office despite competition. So here’s the complete box office report of Kannappa, Kuberaa, and Sitaare Zameen Par.
Kannappa first day box office collection
As reported by Sacnilk.com, Vishnu Manchu’s movie collected approximately Rs 9 crore at the box office on its opening day. The movie also has the star power of celebs like Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal as they have cameos in Kannappa. These are the early estimates. The numbers appear good and among the career-best for Vishnu Manchu. However, the movie hasn’t managed to beat the first day box office collection of Dhanush’ movie Kuberaa. The film that also stars Nagarjuna had made around Rs 14.75 crore on the opening day.

Talking about Kuberaa, Dhanush’ movie has showcased a strong hold at the box office over the first eight days. As per the reports, the movie made around Rs 2.50 crore at the box office on its eighth day. The total collection of the film stands at Rs 71.50 crore. With its worldwide business, Dhanush’ movie has already crossed the mark of Rs 100 crore at the box office.
Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection day 8
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s new movie Sitaare Zameen Par is also successfully running in the theatres. The movie has managed to win hearts of all and is hold quite strong at the box office. On its day 8, Sitaare Zameen Par made approximately Rs 6.75 crore at the box office. The total collection of the movie is around Rs 94.65 crore. The film is just a few crores away from touching the mark of Rs 100 crore with its India Net Collection.
