Harshvardhan Rane gained massive fame and appreciation for the 2016 romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam. This Diwali, the actor made his big-screen comeback with Ek Deewane Ki Diwaniyat alongside Sonam Bajwa. As Diwali release, this film faced stiff competition from Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s Thamma. Nonetheless, it managed to hold its ground at the Box Office. Despite the fact that Ek Deewane Ki Diwaniyat has to share screens with a big budget film and strong marketing, it is still performing well. Even though Ek Deewane Ki Diwaniyat is successfully drawing audiences to theaters, Ayushmann’s Thamma has occupied almost three times more screens nationwide. Despite this fact, the small budget film is making well at the box office. On the opening day itself, the film made Rs. 9 crore, which is a good amount for a film like Ek Deewane ki Diwaniyat. On the second day, its earnings dropped slightly to Rs. 7.5 crore, bringing its total two-day collection to Rs. 16.5 crore. According to Sacnilk’s data, on the third day (Thursday), Ek Deewane Ki Diwaniyat collected Rs. 6 crore. With this, the film’s three-day total collection now stands at Rs. 22.75 crore.
Ek Deewane Ki Diwaniyat outperformed these films on the third day Ek Deewane Ki Diwaniyat is performing remarkably at the box office. Within three days of release, the film has already crossed the Rs. 20 crore mark. It has also surpassed the lifetime collections of several films from 2025. Some of such films are Homebound , which earned Rs. 4.57 crore, The Bengal Files 9 which got Rs. 19.59 crore, Nikita Roy which has the lifetime collection of Rs. 1.28 crore. Some other such films are Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan, Kesari Veer, Kampkapi, The Bhootni, Phule, Ground Zero, Crazy, Superboys of Malegaon, Luvayapa and Emergency.
