Former Bigg Boss contestant Divya Suresh has been accused of a hit-and-run case. She recently took to Instagram to share her statement about the incident.
Actress and former Bigg Boss fame Divya Suresh has been accused of being involved in a hit-and-run case. The incident has led to a woman being injured severely. The accident took place at around 1:30 am on October 4. During that time, three people, Anusha, Anita, and Kiran, were riding a motorcycle while on the way to a hospital. It was revealed through various media reports and CCTV footage from that area that a black Kia car, which was allegedly being driven by Divya, collided with the motorcycle near Byatarayanapura Police Station and quickly left the place of the accident without trying to help people out.

On October 24, Divya took to Instagram to share a screenshot of the CCTV footage that was posted on YouTube. With that, the actress also shared a comment that was on the video. The comment said, “The mistake was the biker’s… There were three people riding on the bike, and none of them were wearing helmets. The car driver was taking a left turn when the biker came on his own and collided with the car. Now, blaming the person in the car is utter foolishness. Please check the video or get your eyes checked. Just because someone is an actor doesn’t mean you can falsely accuse them without reason.”

Kiran filed an official complaint on October 7, according to which the bike had slightly swayed out of the way in order to avoid barking dogs, and at that time, the car collided with them. Anita ended up with severe injuries and a fractured kneecap. She also had to undergo surgery, which cost Rs. 2 lakh.
After the FIR was registered at the Byatarayanapura Traffic Police Station, CCTV footage was used to trace the car back to Divya Suresh. Her car has been seized as a part of the investigation.
