Kantara Chapter 1 box office collection: In India and throughout the world, Kantara Chapter 1 is still having an unstoppable run at the box office. The movie has now created a new standard in the Hindi market, something that hundreds of Hindi movies over the previous ten months were unable to do. Only two Bollywood films, Chhava and Saiyaara, previously held this record. Thanks to the overwhelming support of Hindi viewers, Kantara Chapter 1 has now become the third Hindi film to surpass the Rs 200 crore milestone, making it a true blockbuster.
Taran Adarsh confirms Rs 200 crore milestone
Film critic Taran Adarsh remarked, “Kantara Chapter 1 has become the third highest grossing film in Hindi after Saiyaara and Chhava,” when giving data pertaining to the Hindi collection of Rishabh Shetty’s film.
Further, he disclosed that the movie has made over 200 crore rupees, making it the third Hindi film to do so. The movie’s earnings, which totalled 201.37 crore rupees, were also disclosed by the reviewer.
According to SciFi, “Kanthara Chapter 1 has already grossed over ₹588 crore in 25 days. The film has become a blockbuster, earning nearly four times its budget.”
Kantara Chapter 1 earns 5 times its budget
The film has made around Rs 790 crore (7.9 billion rupees) globally, more than five times its budget of Rs 145 crore (1.45 billion rupees). After deducting the Rs 200 crore from the Hindi version, the film’s domestic total, which had reached about Rs 588 crore in all languages, drops to Rs 388 crore.
