Thamma Box Office Collection Day 11: Released on October 21, Aditya Sarpotdar’s Diwali film Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, is performing exceptionally well at the box office. It is the fifth film in the Maddock horror comedy universe to gross over Rs100 crore in India so far. According to reports, the film earned approximately Rs 3.25 crore on Thursday, its tenth day, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 108.25 crore. The film collected Rs 55.6 crore in the first three days, while by the seventh day, the figure had reached Rs 95.6 crore. On Tuesday, the film earned Rs 5.75 crore, while on Wednesday, the figure dropped to Rs 3.65 crore. According to Sacnilk, on the 11th day Thamma earned Rs 3 crore. While the film has surpassed several previous films, it still seems unlikely to surpass Stree 2’s record of Rs 597.99 crore.
What did Ayushmann say about Thamma’s success?
Ayushmann Khurrana expressed his happiness over the film’s success, saying that receiving the audience’s love is his biggest achievement. He said,“I am feeling good. Validation by the public is the biggest validation…For me, this is the biggest opening of my career and hopefully my biggest film as well.” He also expressed his excitement for Bhediya 2 and looks forward to seeing how the different characters in this universe will meet or clash.
What did Rashmika say about her character?
Rashmika Mandanna described her character, Tadka, as a creature who lives in the jungle and tries to understand human emotions. In a conversation with IANS, she said, “Like every time they cry, she’s just wondering how they’re crying. Every time they laugh, she’s just wondering, ‘oh, this is how you smile’. And she’s trying to replicate that from Alok and things like that. Those are the minute details that I had worked on because, you know, I basically was like, okay, I’m an animal.”

The story of Thamma revolves around journalist Alok (Ayushmann) and mysterious woman Tadka (Rashmika), who meet in the jungle and unravel the mystery of the ‘world of betals’. The film is the latest installment in Maddock Films’ horror comedy universe, following Stree (2018), Bhediya (2022), Munjya (2024), and Stree 2 (2024). Audiences are eagerly awaiting Bhediya 2, starring Varun Dhawan, Shakti Shalini, and Anit Padda.
