Shefali Shah reprises her role as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi in the third season of Delhi Crime, where she becomes embroiled in chaos as she starts linking a sequence of vanishings to a system fueled by dread, greed, and silence, after uncovering a cargo of 30 girls being trafficked to Delhi. The trailer begins with Huma Qureshi’s character reciting a chilling nursery rhyme: “Lado rani badi seyani, chaar ghada ka bhar le paani.” As Vartika’s (Shefali Shah) investigation intensifies, every hint leads to a name murmured throughout the cities, Badi Didi (Huma). Relentless, unseen, and perpetually a move ahead, Vartika is the cunning mastermind of a crime syndicate that she and her team are resolved to dismantle, creating the backdrop for an intense psychological showdown between two women who won’t back down. The search commences in cities such as Silchar, Mumbai, Rohtak, Surat, and Muzaffarpur.

Director Tanuj Chopra shares his opinion on this season
Director and Showrunner Tanuj Chopra shared, “With Season 3, we wanted to tell a story that feels both urgent and deeply human. Each season stands on its own. Regardless of whether you’re a returning fan of the show or you’ve never watched a single episode, this season will be just as compelling for both. You can jump right into Season 3 without needing to have seen the first two to fully enjoy the show, or continue from where you last paused. The stakes this time are unlike anything Vartika has faced. Every lead, every dead end, pushes her and her team closer to the breaking point. This season widens the lens of Delhi Crime, but stays rooted in what defines it: empathy, truth, and the relentless pursuit of justice.”
The first season was set in the aftermath of the 2012 Delhi gang rape, while the second season focused on the Chaddi Baniyan Gang.
Delhi Crime Season 3 is set to premiere on November 13 on Netflix.
