Thode Door Thode Pass OTT Release: Director Ajay Bhuyan’s new web series, Thode Door Thode Pass, is soon releasing on your digital screens. It is a family drama that shows how a digital detox, a break from mobile phones and the internet, brings new warmth and understanding to family relationships. Mona Singh and Pankaj Kapur star in the lead roles. Thode Door Thode Pass will stream on ZEE5 from November 7, 2025. Announcing the series’ release date on its social media platform X (formerly Twitter), ZEE5 wrote, “Looks like everyone’s hearts are already moving ‘thode Pass’ to the Mehtas and we’re here for it #ThodeDoorThodePass premieres November 7, only on #ZEE5.” The series presents a light-hearted, emotional, and humorous story about the growing digital divide in families and the need for genuine human connection. It shows how a life entangled in social media and gadgets can tear relationships apart, even when they are close.
All about Thode Door Thode Pass
The story revolves around the Mehta family, who are constantly engrossed in their phones, tablets, or laptops. Everyone is present at home, but communication and connection have vanished. Retired naval officer Ashwin Mehta (Pankaj Kapur) sets a unique challenge to recapture his family’s attention. He proposes a six-month digital detox and promises a reward of Rs 1 crore for anyone who completes it. The story unfolds as the family members accept the challenge and try to rediscover true relationships without their phones.
The series is created by Shirshak S. Anand. The cast includes Pankaj Kapur, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Mona Singh, and Sartaj Kakkar. Cinematography is by Shriram Ganapathy, and editing is by Adeet Bhardwaj.
