Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat box office collection day 17: EK Deewane Ki Deewaniyat managed to make a name for itself at Diwali despite clashing with a movie from the well-known horror-comedy genre. This modestly anticipated romantic movie, which was released on considerably fewer screens than the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Thamma, has already surpassed the Rs 100 crore milestone globally and is now getting closer to the Rs 70 crore nett level in India.

It earned about Rs 2.35 crore on its second Friday, Rs 3.15 crore on its second Saturday, and Rs 3.75 crore on its second Sunday after earning almost Rs 55 crore in its first week. It made about Rs 1.65 crore on Day 14, a slight increase to about Rs 2.25 crore on Day 15 thanks to lower ticket rates, and an additional Rs 2 crore on Wednesday of the second week.
On Wednesday, it outperformed Baahubali: The Epic and made about Rs 1.5 crore. On its 16th day, Thamma also earned Rs 2 crore. As a result, the Harshvardhan Rane film has now made a total of Rs 71.34 crore nett.

According to reports, the movie had a budget of Rs 25 crore. It was already India’s fourth-highest-grossing romance movie of 2025 on Day 8. In terms of return on investment, the movie has already achieved great success with this budget, having now surpassed the Rs 70 crore milestone. The makers have declared that it has surpassed Rs 100 crore globally.

2025 marks the return of romance to Bollywood. While Saiyaara grossed over Rs 575 crore this year, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat surpassed films like Param Sundari (Rs 86 crore) and “Bhool Chuk Maaf” (Rs 91 crore). Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film initially received mixed reviews but gradually gained audience support. Starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, the film also stars Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Anand Narayan Mahadevan.
