After Shefali Jariwala’s death, Janhvi Kapoor supports Varun Dhawan as he…; reacts ‘Finally someon…
Death of actress Shefali Jariwala has gathered a lot of attention from big names of the film industry. Recently, actress Janhvi Kapoor showed her support to the Shefal’s family and Varun Dhawan through her Instagram story. Read on to know what she said.
As the film industry mourns the loss of Shefali Jariwala, who gained massive popularity for her song Kaanta Laga, many Bollywood celebrities including actor Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have called out media professionals for being “insensitive” in their coverage of the actress’ funeral. Janhvi Kapoor had recently shared Varun Dhawan’s story on her Instagram along with a message for her fans.
Actress Janhvi Kapoor – who isn’t just Varun’s co-star in their upcoming rom-com Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, but also his biggest cheerleader – backed the actor for calling out the media for being “insensitive”. The actress took to her Instagram story and shared Varun’s story along with a simple but powerful message that read, “Finally someone said it.”
For Janhvi, this isn’t just a professional stance but also a personal one as her late mother, the legendary Sridevi, also faced a media frenzy when she passed away in 2018. The media was back then also accused of intrusive coverage which turned private grief of the family into a public spectacle.
Actor Varun Dhawan recently took to his Instagram and slammed the media for what he called an “insensitive” coverage of Shefali’s funeral. The clips which have been floating around on the internet, show paparazzi’s zooming in on Shefali’s grieving husband, Parag Tyagi, and her family, capturing every tear and plea for the family’s privacy. The Main Tera Hero Actor wrote, “Again one more passing of a soul being insensitively covered by the media. I just don’t understand why do u have to cover someone’s grief. Everyone looks so uncomfortable with this. How is this benefitting anyone? My request to my friends in the media this isn’t the way someone would want their final journey covered.”
For the unversed, Shefali’s final rites ceremony at Mumbai’s Oshiwara Crematorium was swarmed by cameras, with Parag visibly shattered, even pleading with folded hands, “Please pray for my pari (angel). Please stop this now.”
Clips of Shefali’s mom breaking down have also gone viral, sparking outrage among fans and celebs like Tina Datta and Arti Singh, who echoed Varun’s call for sensitivity.
