CID 2 has been in the news since it began. Vibhanshu Dixit has now joined the Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty starrer. He has now opened up about his character.
CID 2 has a huge fan following. The show has been winning hearts for years. The show first aired in 1998 and had a successful run till 2018. But when the show went off-air, everyone was disappointed. People wanted their iconic characters back in the show. Hence, CID 2 returned in 2024. Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Ajay Nagrath, Aditya Srivastava, Ansha Sayed, Hrishikesh Pandey, Narendra Gupta returned with their iconic roles. The second season has been through many changes.
We saw Barboza’s entry and he killed ACP Pradyuman. People were shocked as Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman left. Later, Parth Samthaan entered the show as ACP Ayushmaan. He entered to find out the ‘gaddar’ of the team. ACP Pradyuman returned but the team could not find Barboza. It was revealed that Dr. Salunkhe is the ‘gaddar’ of the show.
Janvi Chheda and Shraddha Musale also returned as Inspector Shreya and Dr. Tarika. We also saw a big secret behind Shreya’s returned and the story around Daya turning the villain. In the recent episodes, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and Udne Ki Aasha actor Sanjay Narvekar entered the show as Superintendent Omkar Sawant.
A new entry in CID 2
Now, we have another new entry in the show. Apollena actor Vibhanshu Dixit has joined the star cast. He spoke to Etimes about his role. He said that he grew up watching CID and has been a huge fan. Joining the cast has been a dream come true for Vibhanshu. He said he will be seen as the son of a politician, and it’s a powerful role. He believes the audience will love the story and he always wanted to act in this show. This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
He further said that as an audience, he very close to the cast. He said, “From Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Aditya Srivastava as Sr. Inspector Abhijeet, Dayanand Shetty as Sr. Inspector Daya, Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks, Narendra Gupta as Dr. Salunkhe, among others. I share a wonderful attachment, and it was amazing to meet them, work with them and bond with them in real life.”
