Rashmika Mandanna’s new film, The Girlfriend, appears to be performing well at the box office in its first week. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, the film stars Dheekshith Shetty, Anu Emmanuel, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini in pivotal roles. By the end of its first week, the film had collected approximately Rs 11.25 crore in India’s net revenue. Although the opening was weaker than its predecessors, it held its ground and posted steady earnings throughout the rest of the week.

According to reports, on the seventh day, Thursday, the film earned approximately Rs 1.10 crore, based on initial estimates. The film earned Rs 1.15 crore on Day 4, Rs 1.30 crore on Day 6, and Rs 1.10 crore on Day 7. The film saw a significant drop on Monday but improved significantly on Tuesday and Wednesday. While there was a slight drop on Thursday, the film performed well overall in its first week.
The Telugu version of The Girlfriend recorded a total occupancy of approximately 17.18% on Thursday. Occupancy was 14.43% in the morning show, 19.01% in the afternoon, 17.74% in the evening, and 17.55% in the evening. The afternoon shows were the most packed, which is considered a positive sign for the film. This indicates that audiences are gradually flocking to theaters due to word-of-mouth. If this trend continues in the coming days, the film’s earnings could increase further.
