Sasural Simar Ka actress Dipika Kakar recently mourned the sudden demise of Kaanta Laga actress Shefali Jariwal. Here’s what she said.
Popular television actress Dipika Kakar who managed to rule hearts with her role as Simar in Sasural Simar Ka underwent liver surgery post-stage 2 liver cancer diagnosis. She was discharged from the hospital after 11 days. The actress has mourned the demise of actress Shefali Jariwala who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42. The Kaanta Laga fame is survived by her husband, Parag Tyagi, and her parents.
Dipika took to her vlog as shared by her husband Shoaib Ibrahim, she expressed her grief after knowing about Shefali’s untimely demise. Shefali’s sudden death left the industry in shock. In the video, Dipika was seen sitting on the couch as she spoke in the vlog which is now going viral.

Dipika is seen reading the news about Shefali Jariwala’s demise in her vlog. The actress gets a shock after learning about the death of Bigg Boss 13’s contestant’s demise. In the video, Dipika said, “It’s shocking and sad. We haven’t met her or know her personally. But we have seen her work. Life is very unpredictable. Kab kiske saath kya hone wala hai, kisiki zindagi kitni hai, woh sab upar wala janta hai. Just be happy and keep smiling. Nowadays a lot of negative things are happening in the world. I just want to express gratitude to God. Just stay happy.”
As per reports, police officials said that Shefali’s blood pressure dropped before she collapsed in her house. The officers said that the doctors suspected that the cause of death was a dip in her BP. They even found two boxes of tablets in her house including anti-ageing and skin-glowing supplements which contained glutathione and vitamin pills. Officers ruled out foul play in the case.
Shefali’s last rites were performed by her husband Parag Tyagi, on June 28 and he even immersed her ashed in the sea on June 29. In the video, Shefali’s husband was seen heartbroken and devasted after immersing her ashes in the sea. As per reports, the exact cause of death is expected to be released within the next two days.

Reportedly, Shefali collapsed after consuming food prepared the day before, following a fast observed for a Satyanarayan Pooja at her residence. She was rushed to the hospital by her husband and a few others at midnight when doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
