According to reports, the industry insiders and trade experts are pinning their hopes on the film to make this dull year into a successful one at the box office. For the unversed, the film is headlined by Ranveer Singh and is directed by Aditya Dhar. The film also features R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Akshaye Khanna in key roles. The trailer shows that the film has been inspired by real-life events and puts forth the tension between India and Pakistan. Ranveer Singh is being lauded for his rugged avatar that complements his character as an undercover spy. The trailer promises to offer an interesting mix of action and thrill. What is Dhurandhar’s real-life story?
According to reports, Dhurandhar revolves around the life of Major Mohit Sharma. In early 2000s, he went undercover as Iftikhar and infiltrated Hizbul Mujahideen in the early 2000s. A few months back, Suhail Nayyar essayed the role of a similar character in Netflix’s popular web series Saare Jahan Se Accha. After R Madhavan’s look in the film was unveiled, it was reported that he played a character that was based on Ajit Doval.
