BTS member Jungkook, a well-known Korean boy band artist, has recently experienced another home invasion. This represents the third occasion on which his fan attempted to enter his home without consent. On the 19th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that they are carrying out an internal inquiry concerning a Japanese woman in her 50s who faced charges of attempted residential break-in. The woman faces charges for unlawfully entering Jungkook’s residence and incessantly pressing the front door lock from the 12th to the 14th of November. She went back to Japan and has not been confirmed yet. The authorities plan to examine the victim to confirm the details of the incident.

Yet, this isn’t the first time a fan has attempted to access Jungkook’s residence. A Chinese woman in her 30s was previously suspended from prosecution in September following her arrest in June for continually entering Jungkook’s front door password on the day she was discharged from the military. In August, a woman in her 40s was caught attempting to break into her residence and was arrested as a repeat offender before being handed over to the authorities.

Jungkook’s statement on the incident

Following the incidents, Jungkook addressed home invasions at the time and said, “I’m watching everything on CCTV at home. I heard the police coming, so I opened the door in the underground parking lot. You’re friends with me. It is true that all ARMY (official fan clubs in BTS) are family and friends, but it was a pity.”
The singer added, “I’m so grateful for your support, but what is that? “I’ll lock you up when you come home. All the evidence has been secured and records are being made. If you step into my parking lot, you can’t go out unless I open it for you. If you want to be taken away (the police station), come.”
On the work front, BTS is set to make a full comeback in the first half of next year.
