Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur made news recently when rumors of her dating Dhanush emerged on social media. Images of their remarks on one another’s posts went viral and intensified the speculation, yet neither of them responded to the gossip. Currently, a viral Reddit post has asserted that Mrunal has been in a relationship with cricketer Shreyas Iyer for several months, and that they have been maintaining a low profile. The day following the viral post, Mrunal Thakur appeared to respond to it. Although she did not explicitly address the dating rumors, she dismissed the rumours about her, referring to them as ‘free PR’.
Mrunal Thakur responds to dating speculations regarding her
On Sunday night, Mrunal Thakur posted an Instagram story that appeared to address the dating rumors surrounding her. Although she didn’t directly confront the speculation, she posted a video of herself laughing as her mother gives her a champi. In her amusing caption, she appears to make a jab at speculations connecting her to Shreyas Iyer.
“They talk we laugh. P.S Rumours are free PR and I love free stuff!” she wrote.
A Reddit post that is going viral alleged that Mrunal and Shreyas Iyer have been discreetly dating for several months, and that their relationship remains in its initial phase. The post stated that they have been maintaining their relationship privately to avoid unwanted media scrutiny. Mrunal’s recent post indicates that there could be no validity to these rumors.

On the work front, Mrunal Thakur was recently featured in Son Of Sardaar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn. Next, she will appear in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by David Dhawan. The film features Mrunal alongside Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, Mouni Roy, Jimmy Shergill, Chunky Panday, and Maniesh Paul. She also has Dacoit starring Adivi Sesh coming up.
In addition to this, she recently revealed her upcoming romantic drama Do Deewane Seher Mein featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi. The creators initially shared a creative title announcement teaser, then revealed the first poster showcasing Mrunal and Siddhant. The movie is scheduled to premiere on February 20, 2026.
